Central in the continental U.S., at the junction of I-70 and US 81, Salina, Kansas is the home of great experiences! Those who appreciate the arts will be pleasantly surprised by the level of quality found in the performances at the beautifully restored historic Stiefel Theatre, recently expanded and modernized Salina Community Theatre, as well as by our two Salina Symphony groups and others.

Enjoy exhibitions at the Salina Art Center and nightly films at their Art Center Cinema. Explore our regional heritage at the Smoky Hill Museum, Yesteryear Museum and Museum of Scouting. Visual art punctuates public places community-wide with murals, sculptures and intriguing installations such as SculptureTour Salina. This outdoor exhibit downtown has 20 plus pieces on loan from artists from across the States and beyond, and changes each May.

Salina’s love of the arts culminates each summer with diverse music, fine arts, fine crafts, food and more at the Smoky Hill River Festival, held the 2nd full weekend of June. In late October, Blue Heaven Studios presents Blues Masters at the Crossroads with extraordinary blues greats in concert. Discover two experiences in one at Rolling Hills Zoo — home to over 100 species in the park, plus a ‘trip around the world’ via the beautiful diorama exhibits in the Wildlife Museum. Dedicated golfers can hit the links in Salina on average 350 days a year.

Best of all, your welcome awaits!
