Named by National Geographic as “One of America’s most scenic drives” and a favourite trip for fall foliage, US Route 6 in Pennsylvania is perfect for touring by car, motorcycle, RV, camper or even bicycle.

Along the Route, you will find quaint small towns, historic places, natural wonders, and breathtaking vistas. The Route connects many of Pennsylvania’s attractions like Conneaut Lake Park, the Pennsylvania Lumber Museum, PA Grand Canyon, Steamtown National Historic Site, and Grey Towers.

Pennsylvania’s only Great Lake Port City
Start your trip on Lake Erie in the city of Erie, Pennsylvania’s only Great Lakes Port City. The city boasts a wealth of natural beauty and affordable family fun including SHOPPING! The convenient accessibility off two major interstates (I-79, I-90) makes Erie an attractive shopping destination. Best of all — Pennsylvania has no tax on clothing and apparel! Kinzua Sky Walk and the Allegheny National Forest
As you head east on Route 6, don’t miss “One of the Top 10 most Scenic Skywalks in the World,” the Kinzua Sky Walk in Mt. Jewett, Pennsylvania, which offers a thrilling experience and stunning vistas of the Kinzua Gorge. Nearby, the Longhouse National Scenic Byway offers brilliantly coloured fall foliage along the shorelines of the Allegheny Reservoir in the Allegheny National Forest.

Along Pennsylvania Route 6, the two villages, Kane & Smethport offer Flickerwood Wine Cellars and CJ’s Spirts, for tasting and tours. The Smethport Mansion District Walking Tour offers a glimpse into a Victorian Village. Bradford is the home of the Zippo/Case Museum and the Marilyn Horne Museum, a great musical experience.

Pocono Mountains
