Franklin – Rooted in Americana

A Tennessee town rooted in Americana
Located just 19 miles south of Nashville, Franklin Tennessee is a soul-quenching drink of sweet tea served up in a frosty mason jar that never runs dry. Some call it magical — that a town can preserve its southerly heritage and still radiate a sophistication that is downright inspiring. As locals, we’re pleased our secret is out and thrilled to see travellers the world over flock here to experience our one-of-a kind history, live music, family-friendly festivals, and a Great American Main Street.

Kick off your Great American Main Street experience with shopping in our historic downtown district and browse gorgeous boutiques, restaurants, antiques stores and galleries. Throughout the year annual celebrations like Dickens of a Christmas in December and the Main Street Festival in April also add extra charm to Franklin’s downtown.

Visitors can explore Civil War history through the stories of Carnton Plantation, Lotz House and Carter House or go and see the breathtaking Arrington Vineyards where the wine tastings and music flows year ‘round. Take scenic countryside drive to the Village of Leiper’s Fork where you will fall in love with the local culture, food, and shopping. Looking for music?
