Coldwater Country… Southern Michigan Fun!

Discover quaint communities of Coldwater, Bronson, Quincy and Union City, during a getaway to Michigan’s Coldwater Country. Conveniently located in south central Michigan, halfway between Detroit and Chicago, Coldwater Country has many adventures waiting to be explored.

As the weather cools and the snow flurries, the area’s more than 100 lakes including two chains of lakes, offers anglers the opportunity to get outside and breathe in the cold, clean air while reeling in the catch of the day. Plan a winter getaway to enjoy the festivities during the Quincy Tip-Up Festival.

This February weekend of family fun offers everything from fishing contests to snowmobile races, wood cutting contests, and a cornhole tournament.

During the summer months, rent a pontoon or kayak to get out on the lakes for a day of relaxation. Don’t forget your golf clubs as the area is home to nearly two dozen golf courses. Golf on an island, along the lakeside, or on a nature preserve, Coldwater Country has the course for you.

The area is also home to an abundance of things to see and do – experience laser tag, go-carts or riding the rails on a steam train. As the sun sets, make your way to an ‘All-American Drive-In’ with new HD projectors.

Quality performances at the local Opera House have become a must see. The Professional Summer Theatre draws large crowds; rounding out their year with many acts in the Entertainment Series.

Shop ‘til you drop in the many boutiques and shops throughout the area. Dubbed as Michigan’s Antique Capital, Allen has one of the largest concentrations of antiques dealers.

At the end of your fun-filled day, and exciting night on the town, check into one of the many hotels. The hotels are just minutes from all the excitement and attractions.
