Washington, Missouri has small town charm and big city amenities. This river city sits in the heart of Missouri wine country, just 45-minutes west of St. Louis. With its superb lodging, dining, shopping, art and history, this is the perfect place to call “home” while visiting this region designated as American Viticultural Areas.

Spring through winter, Washington is host to many events, including the Spring Art Fair and Winefest, BBQ and Bluesfest, Washington Town & Country Fair, Brewfest, Fall Festivals, Holiday Parades, and an Olde Fashioned Christmas event. April through October, free outdoor music events are offered at least twice each month.

All four seasons can be enjoyed to the fullest with Washington’s landscaping and architecture; so, bring your camera to capture the beauty that is Washington. Getting to Washington is easy; by car Washington, MO is just off two major interstate highways. Fly into St. Louis’s Lambert International Airport or land your private plane at our regional airport. If you prefer a more leisure way to travel, Amtrak stops in Washington four times daily. Step-on guided tours are available for tours buses, and our own tour bus (available for 6–14 passengers) may also be scheduled for a group coming in by train, plane or car.
