What if there was a way to combine once-in-a-lifetime adventure with the chance to make a difference in the lives of others in need? That’s exactly the concept behind Relief Riders International. Each year, RRI organizes two or three trips through which a limited number of travelers have the opportunity to ride on horseback through some of the most breathtaking landscapes on the planet while also bringing much-needed relief to remote communities in rural desert villages in India.
Each itinerary provides a unique combination of hands-on humanitarian work, social and cultural immersion and unforgettable sights and experiences. Rides are purposely limited to 12 or fewer participants to create a more intimate atmosphere. Though you shouldn’t let the small group size fool you — it’s astonishing what can be accomplished during the 15-or-so days of our journey. In fact, over the past 11 years, RRI has helped over 18,700 people, including 12,000 children, by delivering life-changing medical care, educational supplies, and livestock.
In the cities, guests enjoy accommodations at excellent hotels. During the ride, we overnight in historic Indian forts, castles or our charming and comfortable tented encampments. All meals are prepared by RRI crew in the local cuisine.
RRI rides are known for changing lives — both those of the communities in which we work as well as the riders themselves.
