Argentine Wine Producer of the Year, Pascual Toso is the Perfect Dinner Party Guest
In 1890 Pascual Toso left his home in Piedmont, Italy to move to Mendoza, Argentina. Here, in the stunning foothills of the Andes, Pascual Toso was able to pursue his passion for winemaking by founding his very own vineyard. Today Pascual Toso is recognised for producing some of the highest quality wines in Argentina. Having recently celebrated its 125th Anniversary, the winery is the oldest in the Mendoza region and the Toso family continue to nurture their vines in the same tradition and with the same passion and innovation as their ancestors.
The winery is based in the Barrancas region of Maipu, Mendoza, where the earth is stony and chalky. The micro-climate in Mendoza is hot in the day and cold at night which, in combination with the land, produces a range of red and white wines that are complex and packed with intense flavour.
Pascual Toso’s Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon are the wine of choice for people around the world. These elegant and full bodied reds, boast soft long tannins, making them the perfect accompaniment to food. The wines are already market leaders in Asia, Europe and the USA and now Canada is discovering the brand; unsurprisingly so, as internationally acclaimed winemaker Paul Hobbs is the consultant.
All of the premium reds have received 90 points or more from the wine critics and in recognition of their wine making excellence, Pascual Toso was named ‘Argentine Wine Producer of the Year, 2016’ by the International Wine & Spirits Competition (IWSC) with the Estate Malbec also receiving the Gold medal, 2016.
This isn’t just a brand for wine connoisseurs — this wine is the ideal dinner party guest and provides a rewarding experience for all, so pick up a bottle today and experience a taste of the real Argentina.
